
Avril Mullally is a dedicated yoga and mindfulness teacher with over 25 years of practice. Her journey began at 16 years old, when her mother gifted her a book on yoga, igniting a passion that would shape her life. In 2014, she undertook formal training with Sri Dharma Mittra in New York, completing the 200, 500, and 800-hour Life of a Yogi Training—a testament to her deep commitment to the practice.
Avril has trained with renowned teachers such as Kino McGregor, and Yogrishi Vishvketu, while expanding her mindfulness studies through the Mindfulness Association and The Sanctuary. Her spiritual path deepened during a silent retreat at Jampa Ling Buddhist Centre, under the guidance of The Venerable Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche.
Beyond her training, Avril is a mother of two sons, whom she considers her greatest teachers. She founded and ran Roscommon Yoga Studio and created a space where movement, breath, and mindfulness came together. She believes that yoga extends beyond the mat—it is a way of being, a practice of presence, nature connection, and self-compassion. Whether in movement, in stillness, or in everyday life, her teaching fosters deep inner connection and well-being.
Avril is a Creative Psychotherapist, Play Therapist, and Holistic Practitioner with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. A natural entrepreneur, she transitioned from running a successful yoga studio to establishing a private therapy practice in Roscommon Town, where she provides a compassionate, integrative approach to emotional well-being.
She is completing a Master of Arts in Creative Psychotherapy (Humanistic & Integrative Modality) and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy from the Children’s Therapy Centre. Her additional qualifications include: Personal Development Programme – Gestalt Institute of Ireland, Certificate in Principles of Art Therapy – Crawford College of Art & Design, BSc in Multimedia – Dublin City University (DCU). With expertise in body-based and creative therapies, Avril blends talk therapy, play, movement, and mindfulness to help individuals navigate challenges and build resilience.

For Avril, nature, breath, and connection to the earth are essential to well-being. She finds joy in standing barefoot on the earth, using breath as an anchor to the present moment, and immersing herself in nature’s rhythm. Avril brings warmth, wisdom, and lived experience to her work, creating a safe, supportive space for self-exploration, self-compassion, and deep healing.
